This stylish blanc de blancs is made from a selection of predominantly grand cru villages in the Cote de Blancs.

Based predominantly on the 2012 vintage with 50% reserve wines from 2011 and 2010, adding depth and richness. Slightly lower in pressure, it’s elegant and fine bead rolls across the palate in a gentle and fine manner thanks to extended lees aging (a minimum of 48 months) performed on all cuvées.

‘It’s silky and supple, feeling rich in texture yet remaining focused and sleekly sculpted by tense acidity. The flavors of pear, citrus and white peach are vibrant and precise, underlined by an intense note of chalk, and both fruit and mineral elements persist on the finish with length and grace, already exhibiting a subtly nuanced detail and complexity. This is a superb wine, and one of Doyard’s finest editions of this cuvée to date.’

Peter Liem,

‘A restrained but highly complex nose is comprised by ample yeast character on the aromas of brioche, baked apple and soft citrus scents.  There is a really lovely mouthfeel to the flavors that display an abundant mousse, indeed that is almost foamy, yet it is quite fine while delivering excellent length on the moderately dry finish that delivers the same outstanding complexity as the nose.  This is a really interesting effort, as it’s at once full bodied yet refined and it’s evident that ample reserve stocks were used in this cuvée.  Moreover, it’s extremely difficult to find this level of quality for the price, and overall this is highly recommended.’
