When the cold weather sets in and we bunker down, it’s all too easy to forget about the world-class wine and food region right on our doorstep, the Yarra Valley. While the traditional floor region is the nucleus, the newer Upper Yarra plantings are in hot demand. It’s cooler up there. Just ask Giant Steps winery, who have plots in both.
Celebrate the Yarra Valley’s diversity by enjoying an intimate four-course dinner with special guest, Steve Flamsteed.
Steve is not only one of Australia’s best winemakers, winning the coveted Gourmet Traveller Winemaker of the year in 2016, he’s also a trained cheesemaker and chef. He’s a lovable gent and incredibly switched on. His energy when he talks wine and food is intoxicating
Head chef Todd Moses will be cooking four French-inspired courses, highlighting the local produce of Yarra Valley Salmon Caviar.
The night will start with Giant Steps’ new release vermouth. Steve will then guide you through a selection of his Upper Yarra and Village wines paired with an exceptional menu from the kitchen.
It’s set to be a wonderful mid-winter night of delicious and thought-provoking wine and food. And with Flamo at the helm, you’ll be in for some lively discussion.
Gather your friends and we’ll see you there!
