What’s the difference between farmhouse cheese and what you find in your local supermarket?
Why is it so important to support small local cheesemakers? Australia’s farmhouse products are
growing every year and we would love to share with you the best of what’s being produced on our
doorstep. We have selected 4 seasonal farmhouse cheeses to be paired with 4 local, small wine
producers. Come join us in supporting the little guys with a taste of their exceptional products.

This event is a collaboration between the Spring Street Cheese Cellar and City Wine Shop. Head
cheesemonger Victor Persinette brings over 15 years’ experience in fine dining and hospitality. Over
time, Victor has acquired his expertise amongst France’s top cheesemakers learning the processes
from farm floor to the store. Victor will be teaming up with sommelier James Hill, who is certified
under the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. James enjoys
growing and sharing his knowledge at the City Wine Shop and European. Together these
these two young men will showcase an exciting lineup of local wine and cheese producers with
an eclectic array of flavours, sure to entice your palate.
