Stretching from the coastline 150km south east of Adelaide all the way to the SA-Vic border, the Limestone coast incorporates a diverse array of topography, climate and soils. It’s arguable that the terra rossa rich plains of Coonawarra hold the jewel in the crown, however the unique terroirs of Robe with its maritime influence, the mediterranean-like Padthaway & higher altitude Wrattonbully, are all producing expressive cabernet of exceptional quality. The GTW tasting panel have singled out the star reds of this expansive region in the August/September issue, so join us in Recoleta on Wednesday 22 August to taste 20 of the best. As usual, there will be house made charcuterie and cheese from our mongers next door to keep your palate sharp.
