The Button family planted vines near Basket Range in the mid 1990’s, producing sought after chardonnay and pinot noir grapes. In 2013, Jasper and his sister Sophie returned to the farm to begin make wine under their own label, and Commune of Buttons was born. With every new vintage, their wines have evolved, this Kikuya being no exception. Fruit for this is sourced from the cooler Piccadilly Valley, with fresh rhubarb, dark cherries and brilliant clarity. An exciting sign of things to come from the Buttons!
