Another exciting release from the pioneering Chalmers family who have brought the most significant collection of Italian vines to Australia, including this ribolla gialla. It’s a long and arduous process, the vines were selected in 2011, introduced to Australia in 2013 and released from quarantine in 2015. Then they were finally planted and propogated! Only 120 bottles of this first release were made. Originally from the north-east Italian region of Friuli, it’s saline and savoury tones sit alongside a slight chew on the finish. This is a delicious wine, serve with a plate of cured meats and vegetables.
