Brian Martin of Ravensworth has been quietly marching to the beat of his own drum for some time now, gaining a substantial following along the way. The first of his ’17 releases have set the tone for others to follow with a pristine Riesling from Murrumbateman and a textural but delicate Pinot Gris from Murrumbateman and Tumbarumba. They’re both very good, but the Riesling in particular has caught our eye with lifted floral aromatics with hints of anise lead to a palate of zesty lemon with incredible drive.
